A trip to the ink parlor awaits me this month. Tamlya, one of the Amazons, challenged me to come up with an original tattoo phrase (I mean, God bless Pinterest and its extensive sea of tat snaps, but if I never see another Alis Volat Propriis tat it'll be too soon).

Thank God for Albert Einstein and his dismissive ways. He viewed quantum entanglement as something so farfetched, it amounted to "spooky action at a distance" — or "spukhafte Fernwirkung," in his own words.

Voila. Original tattoo phrase discovered.

The muse wondered aloud: "How does that speak to your life?"

Well, it's like this and like that and like this: I believe in science and the here and now, but I have seen and experienced things that cannot be explained by logic. I mean, are you kidding me? I shook hands with a human and everything about my life changed in that instant. It never happened before; it has not happened since. No matter how much time or space, there is still great resonance.

That's spooky, dude — spooky in a cool and freaky sort of way.

Plus, Einstein is such a fucking badass.

So "spukhafte Fernwirkung" it is, but I don't know how to illustrate the phrase; I don't know what should bracket the words as they're permanently affixed to my body. I'm open to suggestions.
